Rev. Dr. Benton Thompson, graduated in 1974 from Alcorn State University, with B-S Administration, Graduated 1984 National University with MBA, Graduated 1996 with PHD in Theology. 


Retired Army 0-4 Major, Corp of Engineer, Pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Summit Ms. Executive Director, Founder of Mount Zion Economic Community Center, Inc. dba; Mount Zion Adult Day Care, dba; Mount Zion Community Transportation.

ALBERT LYNN, VICE-PRESIDENT


Albert Lynn is the pastor and founder of Empowering Temple Church and CEO and founder of Lynn Agency LLC. He is also the CFO of Delta Care Hope Foundation a nonprofit organization that serves families in the delta area. He is founder of A&B Trucking Logistics.

Pastor Lynn is married to his high school sweetheart Co-pastor Brenda Lynn and he has two daughters Ayanna Lynn and Dr. Nyesha Lynn-Walker, one son Dazavis Walker and grandson Caiden Lynn. Pastor Lynn moto is "We are here to serve!" Pastor Lynn serves in many areas.

He is a Lifetime Member of the NAACP. He is broad member at SCHPI. He is the vice president of the
Mississippi Association of Adult Day Services. He is a member of the Men of Standard. He is the treasure of the Gathering of Gift Fellowship. But most of all He love God and God peoples. His church moto is "Giving life to the community by teaching the Word of God.

MRS. MICHELLE McCOOL, SECRETARY

 

Michelle is a 1990 graduate of East Mississippi Community with an Associates Degree in Business and a 1994 graduate of Meridian Community College with a Nursing degree.

She is the Administrator and Co-Founder of New Beginnings Adult Day Care Services, LLC, in Philadelphia, Mississippi.  Wife to Brandon McCool and mother of 3.

TONYA DONALD

 

Tonya Donald is a 1992 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Health Related Professions with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She has over 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in the Madison County area. She has a heartfelt passion for the seniors that she serves.  In August of 2018, Tonya identified a need in her community for an affordable option to provide care to seniors who are still living at home, but require an additional level of care and to those who are not safe to be left alone during the day.  She researched Adult Day Care and immediately knew that this was the answer she had been looking for.


She joined the National Adult Day Service Association, attended the national conference in Baltimore, Maryland, and the rest is history. Since opening in 2019, She has continued expanding her knowledge of Alzheimer’s and related Dementias and is currently working on her Teepa Snow PAC Certification. Tonya is married and is the mother of three children. The Abigayle Adult Day Care is her passion and her dream and is named after her daughter, Abigayle.

MRS. JANICE THOMPSON, BOARD MEMBER

 

Janice Thompson, graduated from Troy State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Rehabilation Services. She is Program Director for Mount Zion Adult DaySummit, Mississippi. She is the First Lady of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, the wife of Pastor Dr. Benton Thompson. Mother of 3 Childrens and Grandmother of 22.
